    Thanh Tran
    Doctor of Optometry Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Dr. Thanh Tran graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he earned his Doctorate in Optometry. Throughout all four years of optometry school, he was elected into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and tutored Optics to fellow colleagues. Dr. Tran was also the Geometrical Optics and Ophthalmics Procedures Instructor for the Texas Optometry Career Opportunities Program (TEXOCOP). He was beloved among students and recognized with the “Most Outstanding Professor” award both years he taught. In addition to his strong background in primary care optometry, Dr. Tran has extensive experience in the fitting of specialty (hard-to-fit) contact lenses and management of anterior segment diseases. He has participated in the co-management of cataract surgery, LASIK, and various refractive procedures. Dr. Tran also has experience with treating and managing many ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, and retinopathies associated with diabetes and hypertension. ​ Dr. Tran was born in Vietnam and grew up in Houston, Texas. He moved to San Antonio in 2013. His hobbies include fishing, volunteering, spending time with his loved ones and 2 dogs (Jager and Juju), and creating television shows. Dr. Tran is the creator, producer, and host of several Vietnamese reality programs. He is also an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.

    Isis Rouphail
    Doctor of Optometry Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Dr. Isis Rouphail graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. Throughout her time there, she enjoyed being a lab teaching assistant and participated in a medical mission trip to Guatemala. After graduation, she completed her residency training in primary care and ocular disease at the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Hospital in Bay Pines, Florida. She gained experience in treating glaucoma and managing diabetic retinopathy. She is also well trained in low vision services and devices along with various specialty contact lenses. Dr. Rouphail spent most of her childhood in Naples, Italy, as she comes from a military family. She and her family then moved to Florida after her father retired from the United States Navy. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.

During his time in school, he did externships in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Corpus Christi, TX where he treated and managed diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, foreign body removals and minor surgeries. He is experienced in primary eye care and contact lens fitting. He has been practicing in southeast Texas prior to moving to San Antonio in 2017. Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Friendswood, TX. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, playing sports and outdoor activities.
